The Secret Ingredient

Painting with chocolate = 2 parts painting, 1 part eating and 1 part wondering if there's tastier chocolate to paint with.

But really this was a crazy idea. I could end this post on that statement, but here's the thing, in a real daring kind of way, I decided to make this this crazy idea a reality. I felt that if I was actually nuts enough to tell one of my best friends that I was going to do it, then I just had to follow through with it. After the initial trial, I really felt as though I was onto something, it looked incredible, I was drawn to not just the look of it but the idea that it could actually work.

Soon enough I'd complete a short series of illustrations, a series of accidentally cool pieces of art work, created by shear will and with absolute and utter disregard for traditional illustration methods. The craziest part was, I hadn't properly worked out a drawing style, a colouring style or even how to use the untameable medium of chocolate. But there was one secret ingredient, for the first time ever I was determined to trust that one of my outrageous day dreams could become reality.
